It’s Christmas time again, and in the spirit of giving, St Edmunds Clinic and Eye Hospital will be carrying out a free eye screening for children at the hospital beginning on Monday 16th December 2019 to Friday 10th January 2020 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm (excluding public holidays).

Research has shown that most poor academic performance in children is visually related. This exercise is also in pursuance of W.H.O Vision 2020 “Right to Sight” in preventing avoidable blindness in individuals, particularly in children who have exhibited visual problems like:

  • Difficulty in seeing the board clearly
  • Difficulty in reading books
  • Persistent red and itchy eyes
  • Any other complaint about their eyes

The exercise will be carried out during the period at our premises; 12 Salawu Street, Surulere, Lagos. We are accessible via Ojuelegba Road or Randle Avenue. So give the gift of good sight to your children this Christmastime and come on down between December 16th and January 10th.

If you would like us to give an eye health talk to children, teachers, caregivers, guardians, parents and any other stakeholders at your schools, religious bodies and offices, please contact us before the end of the year.

We look forward to seeing your little ones this holiday. Merry Christmas!
